Most of the time, the dark skin under the eyes is hereditary. You are most likely to have dark circles and hyperpigmentation if your parents do as well.
Sleep, Water and SPF
Good and sound sleep can minimize discoloration as the eyes are hydrated. Do not take alcohol and salt, which can rehydrate you and darken your skin more. Sunscreen is a good idea since it protects your skin and contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, which helps decrease pigmentation and lightens skin over time.
Plump It Up
Daily moisturizers and creams can be a great help, but be extra careful if you have sensitive skin around your eyes. Pink or peach undertone correctors can make you look glowing throughout the day. Creme concealer with SPF 20 is the perfect product for your lower eyelids. Eye creams also help concealer go on smoother, so combining the two would give you the best results.

A great option for instant lift is an under-eye treatment mask. People will not even notice you only had 3 hours of sleep.
Fruits like tomatoes and lemons have natural lightening properties that are good for your eyes and dark circles. Mix in tomato juice and lemon juice in a 2:1 ratio and apply gently under your eyes for about 10 minutes before washing it off and rinsing it thoroughly. Do this twice a day, morning and night for 2-3 weeks. You can also add up kojic acid and licorice extract to brighten and even out your skin tone.
